Causal Pathways

Causal pathways explain the complex system of factors and events that eventually lead to a spine disorder.  It encompases the risk factors and exposures, physical and psychological responses, and patient symptoms or expressions related to a specific disorder.  The foundation of the SRI is built around identifying these causal pathways through a systems engineering approach to both basic science and applied research.  Once a disorder's pathway is known, we can use it to prevent disorders or help devise a personalized treatment plan to improve patient health.
