Alex's work focuses on extending the capabilities of the personalized dynamic biomechanical models used by the Spine Research Institute, in particular the development of an EMG-driven model of the cervical spine. He is interested in accelerating the research cycle of these models using advanced data organization and visualization. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and his M.S in Industrial and Systems Engineering, both at The Ohio State University. He has been a research engineer at the Spine Research Institute since 2015.
